WHOA! a week till I'm outta the MTC! Crazysauce!!!

Hey y'all! so sorry that I didn't really get a chance to respond to all of your individual emails, but they only give us a half hour for email at the MTC so I don't have a ton of time, reading them and all. but just enjoy it, :) haha smiley face.

well, life here in the MTC is pretty dang awesome! the Spirit is so strong here and I'm always learning new stuff and practicing teaching and stuff like that. The food here is pretty good too, but kinda different. a lot of like meat and potatoes, but sometimes pizza and hamburgers. there was this one dessert called sticky toffee pudding, and it was way good. but whenever I have a salad, I always try to pick some good cherry tomatoes to put on it, but they sometimes end up bad on the inside.

Let's see....well on thursday, we had an incredible opportunity that is unique to the England MTC, that is, we got to go street contacting in Manchester as part of our training here. we're the only mtc that does that, so it's pretty cool. but let me tell you. it was way hard. tons of people just weren't interested and stuff, but Elder Palmer and I stuck with it and we placed two Book of Mormons, and got this one guys phone number and name. it was a weird name, I think maybe Haban or something. but yeah it was a way cool experience, and on friday, we're going out and knocking on doors in preston, which should be awesome!!

Well, some cool stuff...

they said we are at the same latitude as Novosobirsk, Russia (haha ben zenger. stud-house) so the sun starts rising at like 4:30 or 5 a.m. and it doesn't get dark until like we go to bed, so like ten thirty or eleven. so we have to draw the curtains at night so that we can sleep. Our room gets along really well, but we're trying to be careful because the closer we get, the easier it is to not be reverent and stuff, so we're trying.

today we went on a church history tour of places like Downham where Heber C Kimball did some awesome stuff, and also of where President Hinckley lived when he was on his mission and got that letter from his dad saying, "Forget yourself and go to work." I took a ton of pictures, and they're pretty sweet, so that was cool.

I'm finally on England time, i think, cuz i don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore, which is good. that was way annoying.

They gave us haircuts today, but there wasn't really anything to cut, so she just like trimmed my burns. side burns (to be said like james bond would say it.)

We play football (soccer for all you american folk) everyday that we can go outside. yesterday we played at this one park because the field we usually use was wet from rain and the farmer who owns it doesn't want us to ruin it by playing on it when it's wet, which is still dumb because he has like some rabbit infestation, and so they dig burrows, and this one is like the grand canyon, and like three elders have twisted their ankles playing on it. but anyways, so there was like this fenced in area with goals, but it was like asphalt on the ground, and it was slippery, but we still played on it. I played goalie for a bit and I made this super athletic save, where I did practically the splits and blocked it with my foot. yeah, I'm pretty much a beast. haha actually they scored like one second after I did that. but still.

oh yeah, there was a dead rabbit on our regular field the other day. I think the farmer killed it for digging up his field.

well, all the cars here look like marshmallows, and the way people drive is crazy! like they don't use their brakes until the last possible second, but the never crash. it's nuts. but yeah. england's a great place.

and also, there's like a bunch of missionaries that remind me of people back home. Elder Freckleton has the exact same voice as Thomas Christiansen. hahaha elder Horner is from Kansas City, he kinda sounds like Randy Travis the singer. i'll tell you more next time

I hope all of you are doing awesome! the next time I email you, i'll be out of the MTC, so that's crazy! man, I'm getting old.
But really, though, thank you for all of your support and love and everything that you've done for me! I love you all so much! keep praying for me because I need it!

ps there were a whole bunch of frogs by the pond here, but they're tiny. I was gonna catch one and send it home, but my better judgment prevailed. Sorry Barney. :( haha frowny face. hahahahaha floatie is a funny word. I don't know why I just thought of that. Church is True!

I love you!
