Mum, Dad, I had a baby!

Hello everyone!

Well, I didn't really have a child, but in missionary terms, I'm a father! Crazy story:

So on Thursday, I got a call from President Bullock saying that some missionaries had just arrived from the Provo MTC, and he asked me to train one of them! But, he said that Elder Starr is staying here as well, so I'm in a threesome with Elder Starr and Elder Anthony Herrin from Sandy, Utah!

It's pretty crazy and kind of hard being in three instead of two, and I'm way unqualified to be a trainer, but the Lord is helping me a lot and I'm having a lot of fun and working hard. Missionary work is amazing. Whenever you're having a bad day, all you have to do is start working harder, and the day gets better! I love it!

Elder Herrin is doing really well, and progressing fast. No doubt he'll be a way better missionary than me, which is good. But please pray for us. We need it.

I love you all so much, and I am so grateful for everthing you'lve done for me and given me! I love you!!!

Love,
Elder Ashcraft!

P.S. Listen to Conference! It's gonna be amazing!

Nice one.

Hello all!

It's been another great week here in Birkenhead. I love it so much here and the people are great. Yes, some of them can be a little crusty at times, but I love them so much.

Well, we had an interesting lesson this week with one of our new investigators, Donna. She is very humble and she has a lot of issues going on in her life. During the lesson, someone came and pounded on the door and so Donna went and it was her daughter, who does not get on well with her. they started screaming at each other and all sorts of stuff, and it was really quite strange. Donna then came back in and just broke down in tears, saying that she hates her daughter. It was really sad. I am so grateful for the wonderful family that God has blessed me with and for the peace and joy that the Gospel has brought all of us.

We had a few Born-Again Christian women who were genuinely concerned for our salvation tell us that we were wrong, in a polite way, and said that we should read the Bible. We politely told them that the Bible testifies that we are, in actuality, right, and they are wrong. I love how the Gospel makes sense all across the board and that the Book of Mormon doesn't contradict the Bible at all. I love the Gospel so much.

I love you all so much, and I am grateful for everything that you have given me, taught me, and shown me and i am forever in your debt. I love you! Keep the Faith!

Stayin.

Hello Hello!

Well, we got our transfer calls this week, and.........drumroll.......well, I pretty much gave it away in the subject line, actually. Oh well. I'M STAYING IN BIRKENHEAD!!!!!! Elder Starr is as well, so we're really excited. This is the first time in my mission that both my companion and I have stayed in the same area. I feel bad for Elder Starr, though. He has to put up with me for another transfer. Well, he'll be blessed for it, no doubt.

It was a great week here, and our investigator Billy is progressing nicely to his baptismal date. Please keep him in your prayers. We were following up with him on the Word of Wisdom, and when we asked him about his tea drinking since we taught him, he said, "Haven't touched it." Beautiful! Ah, I love being a missionary. It's amazing.

Remember my companion on the Isle, Elder Cunningham? He's been made a Zone Leader now as well as my great buddy from Utah State, Elder Jeffrey Moss. So that's Exciting. Elder Readhead is a Zone Leader as well. There are some fantastic missionaries in this mission.

Things here are going great, and I love England so much! I know that this is the place that God needed to send me, and it's the place that I needed to come. I know that this is truly the work of the Lord and that He is behind us. The Church is true. I know it.

I love you all so much! Sorry this is short, but the place we're emailing is playing some apostate music of the heathen variety, and also I'm out of time. But I love you, and I am thankful for everything! Keep the Faith!

Love,
Elder Ashcraft

Elder Starr + Elder Ashcraft = Starcraft. Yes.

Hello, ever'body!
Ah, another great week here in England. Such amazing people here. Elder Starr and I have really been blessed in the people that we've spoken to. We've found a lot a great people who want the Gospel in their lives. Some of the just don't know it yet, he he he.
But really, it's been a great week. Yesterday we had Billy, one of our investigators, come to church, and he loved it. He accepted a Baptismal date for the 26 of March, so please keep him in your prayers! He is great. We are really excited for him, and he is going to make and excellent addition to the ward and the Church.
Well, on a side note, I made enchiladas yesterday, but they weren't as good as Mom's. Nothing ever is, to be honest. Just thought you should know what I've eaten.
Things are going great here and we are really excited for the way the work is going. The members are catching the Spirit of missionary work and so when that happens, Satan doesn't have a chance. We will cleanse this place of all iniquity. Well, at least that's the plan.
Well, I love you all so much, and I am so grateful for the chance I have to be out here serving the Lord. I know that this is His true church, and the only true church on earth. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet of the Lord and The Lord speaks to him. I know that is true. I love you all!
Love,
Elder Ashcraft
